Okay, Max started this section to keep idiotic arguments out of the rest of the forum.
But I want to get the whole forum active, so here goes:
[glow=red,2,300]I just saw The Pirates of the Carribean last night. Is it pronounced Carri-BE-an or Carr-IB-ean? Oh no I didn't!!!![/glow]

As far as I know, the rules on cursing are "as much as you want, we only have 2 censored words"
unless Bill says otherwise

What are the two censored words? Are they "NO" and "wait"? By the way, whatsup with the C box. What is that for?

the censored words are the N word and the C word. and the C-box is just for slightly faster communication, conversations like this one

Wow... you guys are so mean to each other, I'm glad there is a thread for this kind of treatment towards one another! (eyes rolling back into my skull because that was one of the pansiest arguments I've ever seen... way to roll over and ask Bill to scratch your stomach for you Zach) :- P Bill the pronunciation depends on how many drinks you've had. However by the time I've drank that much - I choose to have whatever conversations I can without using words containing over 5 letter and 2 syllables. Ask the guys from Tuesday night... when I've had just a few drinks - I'm easily amazed esp. at the fact that the guy bringing out my food knows that it's my chili cheese fries even though I'm sitting with 5 other people. (Turns out the guy must have done pretty good in school and was intelligent enough to notice the order #4 in big bold letters sitting in front of me. I guess it matched the order number on my food ticket. DUH! ~ signing off BIOTCH (a.k.a. Shy Steph)

Okay, according to the rules... have I broken any? I said the argument was pansy-esk but I didn't come out and SAY that anyone was a pansy. And to make sure that I didn't completely break away from the "subject at hand" I commented on the topic... sort of. So since no one ever came back with anything... I win ... right??

As far as censored words go, I really don't believe in censorship.
For example, what if we were discussing St. Louis African American comic Dick Gregory's book or one of Eve Ensler's works that uses the word.
I'd feel horrible if the point were lost and we took to describing Gregory's book as "The N-Word". I don't condone these words as use in hate language, but the forum has to represent the spirit of improv and creativity and not censor any language.

Alright, I'll go remove those censors then

I like to familiarize myself with the writings of Randall Kennedy with the book entitled "nigger" and the infamous Clayton Bigsby with the astounding "Nigger Book". These works will show that the use of the "n" word has an impact on society both black or white. But that's Michael Jackson.
