The Producers Group announces non-equity auditions for the 2008 season of The Howard-Brinkley Report sketch comedy/variety show! After debuting in 2007 to critical acclaim, the show has momentum, bookings, material and actors, but we need more! If you are an experienced and reliable actor (any gender, age or race) who has great comedic timing, has developed (or has the ability to develop) some interesting characters, and has improv skills, you might be perfect for the Howard-Brinkley Report! Sketch comedy writing experience is a plus! Performance dates will be throughout the year of 2008. Auditions are Sunday, January 20 from 1-3:30pm at the Christ Church Cathedral, 1210 Locust, 4th floor. Please email your resume and headshot to hbrcasting@yahoo.com. Let us know if you have time restrictions. We'll email you back with your appointment time. About the show: created by Howie Hirshfield (Howard) and Chuck Brinkley (Brinkley), the show is an homage, of sorts, to: The Daily Show, Saturday Night Live, Not Necessarily the News and even Laugh-in. The Howard-Brinkley Report takes a critical, satirical and warped look at current (and not so current) events and television in general.
