Starving Artist Productions, headed by writer/director Lance Begnaud, will be holding auditions for their entry in this year's "Coming Up Shorts" short film competition. The film will be screened at Webster University with prizes going to the top 3 films. The finished films will then be shown on KDHX-TV, so this is a great chance to be noticed!
PLOT: After being rejected countless times, a man swears off beautiful women. But when the right one walks into his life, will he be able to overcome his fears and prejudices to find happiness?
CHARACTERS:
MAN: Mid-to-late 20's, average looks/build. He is depressed from being constantly rejected by the women he meets.
WOMAN: 20's, attractive, Man's latest interest, but he refuses to make a move.
COOK: 50-60, wise man who works at the local diner; he tries to get Man to take a chance and approach WOMAN
We also have several smaller roles available to young women to act as Man's latest slew of rejections. These roles will only be needed for one night of shooting.
Everyone involved will be fed and will recieve a copy of the finished project.
