BIO~
Richard Brander is one of Hollywood's most respected acting coaches and scene study directors. He will apply his own techniques to each actor's work. Richard has coached Kirsten Dunst, Jena Malone, Claire Danes and currently works with Amanda Peet, Kevin Costner and Sylvester Stallone on a regular basis. His insights are invaluable to a performer and will enhance everyone's performance possibilities.
Brander has been Drama Coach on Paramount’s “Milk Money,” with Melanie Griffith and Ed Harris and directed by Richard Benjamin; Columbia’s “Quick and the Dead” with Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe; United Artists’ “Hit Man” with Chuck Norris; Warner Bros. “Power of One” and many other feature films and made-for-television movies.
From Brander students learn the basic techniques of the actor’s craft. They learn scene work, with direction (scenes are from current movie and television scripts), working with directors, cold reading for casting people and how to focus and concentrate their energy.
In addition, students learn to build self-confidence, composure and professionalism. They learn how to handle the anxiety and fear that can sabotage self-confidence and a successful career. Children learn to concentrate, listen and react. Through scene work they expand their vocabulary. These are skills that are not only important in learning to act, but in everyday life.
*Reservations confirmed with full payment. Please contact Molly Reid at 314.421.9400 or mreid@talent-plus.com.
