Of course iO West is known for our signature form, the Harold, but come by on the weekends and be blown away by our various improvised parodies! Even shows that have seemingly similar names, like Spin Off Cinema and Improvised Musical, are two different sides of the same coin. Would you like to see Lord of the Rings from the perspective of a random Orc? Then check out Spin Off Cinema, "Where the Extra Becomes the Star." Want to check out a totally new screen play come to life in front of you?? The Improvised Movie has what cures you. Both of these are happening this weekend, and right after Spin Off Cinema on Friday is Opening Night, the Improvised Musical, that's been running for well over ten years! Then there's even more homages and parodies to follow with Kind Strangers and The Lusty Hoards, a rotating genre specific improv show (this week they pay homage to Law and Order) and a Sci-Fi parody, respectively. Check them out starting at 8pm at iO West in Hollywood. On Saturday, The Improvised Movie plays for a full hour at 10:30 for only $10 a ticket.
