Join us for the inaugural year of the St. Louis Compass Improv Festival! Del said it best, “The entire history of improvisational theatre was balanced on a pinpoint there in St. Louis. It was one of the most amazing things that ever happened in the world of theatre, a creative experience unmatched perhaps on the planet. There’s never been anything like it." Submissions for the St. Louis Compass Improv Festival open Monday, July 9th and close Friday, August 31st! The festival, which takes place in St. Louis, Missouri on Wednesday, October 17th through Saturday, October 20th, 2012, seeks to feature the best that improv theater has to offer. All submissions will be carefully reviewed by our board and applicants will be notified about their status by September 1st. We are seeking groups performing both short-form and long-form improv as well as those troupes who are independent, currently affiliated with a theater, as well as collegiate teams. We have a set number of available spaces for out of town and in town performers. To submit your troupe for consideration visit please www.compassimprov.org, click the submit tab and follow the link at the top of the page to our online submission form. Information required for submission includes: troupe name, hometown/theater, primary contact information, alternative contact information, dates of availability, names of all troupe members and coach, promotional picture or logo and a link to an uploaded video of a performance. Additional information for submission includes links to any press, Facebook, and Twitter account. Coupled with all of this information is a submissions fee: $10 for local St. Louis area troupes and $25 for troupes outside the area. Your submission will not be considered complete until this fee has been processed. All selected teams will receive a load of benefits detailed on our submission page. Should you have any questions regarding the submission process please contact Compass Improv Artistic Director, Katy Paul at submissions@compassimprov.org. We look forward to receiving your information!
