FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
The NonProphet Theater Company will hold non-Equity auditions for the first two shows of its 2007-2008 Season, Corleone: The Shakespearean Godfather by David C. Mann, and second by Neil Utterback, on Saturday, July 21 from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m., at The Koken Art Factory, 2500 Ohio, St. Louis, MO (on the corner of Sidney an Ohio, just 2 blocks NW of Jefferson and Gravois).
SYNOPSIS OF SHOW 1:
Corleone – The Shakespearean Godfather by David C. Mann, directed by Robert A. Mitchell.
Mario Puzo goes classic(al), in this retelling of Godfather, Part I (as if written by William Shakespeare). This production shall have all the gravitas of a great Shakespearean tragedy, but with a healthy dollop of good old-fashioned NonProphet “tongue-placed-firmly-in-cheek” humor.

There are roles for 7 men and 2 women.

Vito Corleone (male, 50’s-60’s) - Priest
Michael Corleone (male, mid to late 20’s)

SYNOPSIS OF SHOW 2:
second by Neil Utterback, directed by Deanna Jent
The people of New York City encounter a spate of miracles this Christmas season, during the worst snowstorm in recent history. Three varied, distinct stories intertwine, in a very Tarantino-esque way, as a Mystery Man forces questions of faith, humanity and the miracles of science.

There are roles for 4 men and 3 women.
CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
Jake, a small-time hood (male, 30’s-40’s)
John, a john (male, 30’s-40’s)

T, a hooker (female, 20’s)
Vick, a news reporter (female, 30’s)
Lauren, a doctor, and Vicky’s lover (female, 30’s)
The Man, a man (male, late 20’s-early 30’s)
*** PLEASE NOTE: The role of Jake has been cast. ***
